DAY 1

Cochin

Arrive in Kochi. Afternoon at leisure to stroll to the waterfront to see fishermen working the Chinese fishing nets. Evening sunset cruise for 2 Hrs by private motor boat, overnight stay at Kochi.

DAY 2

Cochin

Guided tour of colonial Cochin including St Francis Church and the Santa Cruz Basilica. Evening enjoy the colorful dance drama called the “Kathakalai” at the local theatre , Overnight stay at Cochin.

DAY 3

Munnar

Drive to Munnar and enjoy the fresh hill air with a walk through the tea plantations. Enjoy your high tea and stay overnight in Munnar.

DAY 4

Thekkady

Morning at leisure in Munnar to soak up the scenery or visit the fascinating Tea Museum. Afternoon check out and drive to Periyar. The wildlife sanctuary at Periyar is home to nomadic tribes of wild elephant, boar, deer, and the great Indian tiger. .

DAY 5

Thekkady

Rise early for a guided jungle walk. Later visit the spice plantations for which the area is famous. Overnight stay at Periyar.

DAY 6

Alleppey

Drive to Alleppey and board your houseboat for a cruise along the Backwaters.

DAY 7

Alleppey

Disembark your houseboat and continue exploring the Backwaters, stay overnight at the backwater resort.

DAY 8

Mararikulam

Short transfer to Marari Beach. Remainder of the day at leisure to take a stroll along the beach or relax under a palm tree with a book.

DAY 9

Mararikulam

Full day at leisure. You might like to try an Ayurvedic massage or hire a bicycle to explore the quiet lanes.

DAY 8

Kochi

Transfer to the airport. Fly from Cochin to your homeland.

Stay longer

You could extend this tour by crossing the state border into Tamil Nadu to visit Madurai. The Meenakshi temple here is one of the most vibrant and colorful in south India.
